*** Incoming Transmission ***

Priority: Urgent
Classification: Public
Sender: Rebel Combine

The Rebel Combine has issued the following statement - our faction has recently lost contact with several scouting groups conducting survey work on the Faction Planets - Hellion and Hadeas. These groups were both well trained and well armed; the complete disappearance of these units leads us to believe that sabotage or some other form of foul-play may have transpired.

It should be noted - the Rebel Combine will not tolerate hostile actions against its forces. Should it be discovered that another faction was responsible for the loss of our scout groups, our response will be swift and without mercy.

Mining Update!
by: Frizz on Monday the 16th of January 2006

A quick tweak to Mining - Refineries on Training planets now produce a small amount of ore. This is to help newer players get a feel for mining bases. The amount of ore provided is very, very small. Players wishing to get the most out of their mining base should deploy to Relic planets instead of Training planets.

Dueling Planet Change
by: Frizz on Tuesday the 10th of January 2006

Kills on Dueling Planets no-longer give experience. This is to prevent possible exploits where players could set-up arranged fights simply to gain experience from the kills. Also, hired crews will not make level-up checks while on a dueling planet. These planets should be used for quick-fights only, not as places for easy experience.

Happy New Year!
by: Frizz on Saturday the 07th of January 2006

Welcome to 2006! While you're recovering from saying goodbye to 2005 and making your New Year's resolutions, here are a few updates that might be of interest:
- Relics captured by Faction Allies now display as friendly instead of enemy in the Turn Results panel.
- You can no longer capture a Relic with anyone's unit. You must own the unit at a Relic's location in-order to capture it.
- Starting Factions now only show players who are online. Player made Factions will still show the entire player list.

So long 2005!
by: Frizz on Friday the 30th of December 2005

A few quick tweaks before we say goodbye to two-thousand-and-five for good. Price sorting is now retained after you make a purchase on the Black Market, so you won't need to re-sort market items after a purchase. Also, Faction Requests have been re-worked: Requests made by members who are no longer in the Faction will no longer appear on the Faction Requests admin page.

See you in 2006!

Update!
by: Frizz on Monday the 26th of December 2005

A few quick updates and tweaks - You can now sort the vehicles, mods, buildings, and crews on the Black Market by Price, Seller and Name. This should make finding and comparing purchases much easier. Also, an experience bar has been added for your Command Unit when you are deployed, this will give you a better idea of when you are closer to leveling-up. Lastly, the Aimed Shot and Overload Fire Control Commands are now only useable on your own units (this fixes problems with these commands on Dueling planets).

Happy Holidays!
by: Frizz on Wednesday the 21st of December 2005

The holidays are upon us! I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has joined the Tinywarz community over the last few months ... it's your continuing support for this game that has kept it growing and thriving. Updates will be a little sparse over the next few weeks (holidays tend to do that), however no break is being taken. A small update is planned to add some needed functionality and a major update is in-the-works for the beginning of 2006, as well as Tinywarz's first team-based tournament. Also, because you've all been so good this year, Santa has something special for you. Be sure to check under your Tinywarz tree come December 25th.

Future Feature?
by: Frizz on Tuesday the 13th of December 2005

In this message board post is a proposal for a new feature for Tinywarz - Faction Ads. These would appear on the main page and could be purchased with Faction Points. This would provide extra exposure for factions looking for new players and make it much easier for new players to find factions. I'm not completely sold on the idea though, so please post your opinions / recommendations in the above thread.

Faction Update - Part 2
by: Frizz on Sunday the 11th of December 2005

The second part of the Faction Update is in! Factions Alliances are now completely functional: Alliance members cannot attack each-other and faction bases do not attack alliance members. Also, Alliance members can use helpful commands on each-other ... however, members of allied factions do not receive shared sight (this would make large alliances too powerful).

Also in this update - anyone can now fight on dueling planets, even members of the same faction or alliance. This will make duels much easier to set-up. Players will still appear with the proper color on dueling planets (ie. light green if in the same faction or allied faction), but you can now attack them and use hostile commands on them.

Turret Tweak
by: Frizz on Thursday the 08th of December 2005

A point has been raised that certain Heavy Turrets do not have enough ammo (which are usually used on Faction Planets). Because of this, Ballistic and Missile turrets have had their maximum ammo increased, this should make strategies that relied on simply draining turrets of all their ammo with units that could simply absorb damage less effective and will give factions much more time to respond to these kinds of attacks.
